It all began at home surrounded by family, gathering in the kitchen and cooking together.

As a young child growing up, I did not know how to cook. My first exposure to home cooked meals was as a teenager when I moved in with my Dad and Step-mother, Linda. Linda was a stay at home wife and a wonderful cook, always making sure that I was fed the most delicious home cooked meals. Often times tasting better than a dish from local eateries, I felt incredibly lucky to be able to experience what is what like to have a positive female influence to not only show me around the kitchen, but also to show me how to plan, shop and prepare meals.

All things that go in to meal preparation that I learned from Linda, I still carry with me today. However, in this day and age when being a stay at home spouse or partner isn’t an option for most, it can be extremely difficult to fuel our bodies and families with nutritious food when we have less time available to us throughout the day.

Being a full time mother myself, with a full time career, I fully understand the need for meals to not only be nutritious, but also for them to be simple, easy to prepare and quick to cook! This is why I created Fiftyshadesoffood. For you. For your families. For your friends. To help anyone who looking to fuel their bodies with nutritious, flavorful and fun meals.
