Prep Time: 10 min
Cook Time: 10 min
This recipe for Cauliflower Buffalo wings made with oven-roasted cauliflower is the best of both worlds: You get all that great spicy flavor but not a bit of chicken
Cauliflower is the perfect vegetable to make buffalo wings as its subtle and neutral flavor combines very easily with the spicy sauce.
What better to marinate the cauliflower wings with then the hot sauce of your choice, or even sriracha, but using a classic Buffalo wing sauce such as Frank's is a great choice also.
Ingredients
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 cup protein flour
3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
1 head of cauliflower (washed, stemmed, and cut into pieces about the size of chicken wings)
1/3 cup Buffalo wing sauce (or more, to taste)
1 to 2 tablespoons vegan butter (melted, or olive oil or regular butter)
DIRECTIONS
Preheat the air fryer to 400 F.
In a medium bowl, combine the almond milk, protein flour, garlic powder, and salt, whisking together until well combined.
Pat the cauliflower pieces dry with a paper towel.
Coat each individual piece with the almond milk and flour mixture until well covered.
In a small bowl or on the stovetop over low heat, whisk together the wing or hot sauce of your choice and the melted vegan butter.
Dip the cauliflower into the sauce, place in the air fryer for 5 min, flip and then cook an additional 5 min!
