CAJUN SHRIMP KABOBS
Prep Time: 5 min
Cook Time: 10 min
Nothing is better than grilling outside on a beautiful summer day and what better to grill then some nice plump, juicy shrimp!!! Shrimp is probably one of my favorite dishes, well heck any seafood is, being that I am from Washington State!
These little beauties are so simple to make, just mix, thread on the skewer baste and there you go….. a few minutes to some delicious spicy shrimp!
These go great over rice or with a nice salad!
INGREDIENTS
1 tbsp. olive oil
1.33 lbs. shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. dried oregano
1/4 tsp. dried thyme
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
DIRECTIONS
Mix together all of the spices.
Thread the shrimp onto skewers. Brush with oil. Sprinkle the spice mixture onto the skewers on both sides. It’s fine if there is a little extra spice rub leftover. (Note: If using wood skewers, make sure to soak them in water for 30 minutes beforehand so they don’t catch on fire.)
Preheat the grill (or broiler) at medium heat.
Place the kabobs directly on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink. For the broiler, place 6 inches from broiler and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through.
