INGREDIENTS
1 lb lean ground beef, ground chicken or turkey
· 1/4 tsp Salt
· 1/2 tsp Pepper
· 1/2 tsp Onion powder
· 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
· ½ tsp Paprika
· 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
· ½ cup parmesan cheese
· 4 slices low fat Cheese of choice or low fat shredded cheddar
· 2 Large roma tomatoes, sliced thin
· 1 cup spinach
SECRET BITCHIN SAUCE
· 1/2 cup Bitchin Sauce ( I used chipotle. You can get at von’s, Costco or albertsons) or you can use hummus
· 3 tbsp reduced sugar Ketchup
· 1 tsp Dijon Mustard
· 1/4 tsp Paprika
· 1 tbs Dill pickle relish (or slice one spear of dill pickle)
DIRECTIONS
To Make the Sauce: Mix all of the ingredients for the sauce in a small bowl. Refrigerate until ready to use.
To Make the Burgers: Add everything for the burgers to a large bowl, (everything except the cheese, tomatoes, spinach), gently mix together. Shape into four patties. Place patties on an outdoor grill or indoor skillet and cook until no longer pink on the inside. About 3-5 minutes per side. Place one piece of cheese over each burger during the last minute of grilling.
To Assemble the Burgers: Place grilled patties on a lettuce wrap or bun and top with tomato and Secret Bitchin sauce!
