In the mood for a healthy dessert or snack on a hot summer night.  How about whipping up this dairy free sherbet with your favorite fruit, mine is blackberries!  Four simple ingredients to blend together! You can eat it right away or pop it in the freezer to save for later. Great way to get in a serving of fruit that provides so many health benefits.

INGREDIENTS

·       1 (16 oz) pkg your frozen fruit of choice ( I used blackberries)

·       1 1/2 cup Almond milk

·       1/4 cup Sweetener of choice

·       1 tsp Vanilla extract


DIRECTIONS

Roughly chop frozen peaches slices (for easier blending), and add them to a food processor or high powered blender along with the rest of the ingredients. Blend until smooth and creamy. Serve immediately as soft-serve. 

You can also freeze for an 'ice cream' like consistency. Place sherbet in an air tight container, and freeze for 1-4 hours until desired texture is reached. Scoop onto a cone or into a bowl and enjoy!
